Project DescriptionPlot size – 5000 sqm
Built up area – 19500 sqm
A pure geometric form such as a cube, is the source of design inspiration that sees in the same element the solidity of BIBF as an educational institution. However, the shape is open on the front and back to bring more light and to make space for the auditorium in the middle at the base. The skin of the building, a glass curtain with a ceramic frit pattern, highlights the technological and futuristic aspect of BIBF trough the declination of an iconic building located in one of the best sites in Bahrain on the sea. With the geometric shape of the cube and the geometric diamond patterns displayed in on the Glass Curtain Wall, the modern educational features of the financial institute is strengthened and enhanced. The pattern on the upper and lower part of the building is wider because of the offices but on the middle part it is thinner because are located the classrooms where you need less intensity of light. The colors selected are white and the ‘corporate’ grade blue color . The project consists of a: MAIN BUILDING: Ground Floor + semi basements + 8 floors CAR PARK BUILDING: 5 floors The site comprises the Main and Car park Building facing the open landscape with 28 slots car park. Entry to the site is from Northeast via Vehicular and Pedestrian Access to the open car park and landscape, and also through the Car park building Basement level access ramp and Ground level access ramp leading to the next car park levels until 2nd floor car park level. The views from the building are: The Bahrain Financial Harbor Towers from the Southwest; The Four Seasons Hotel from the Northeast; The World Trade Center Bahrain from the Southeast; and the Sea Front from the Northwest.
